Like colors, stains are also an interesting way to add color to your outdoor living space. Stains are a little different from colors when it comes to concrete and the process is very different as well. While colors are typically added directly to the concrete mix, a stain is applied to the surface of the concrete after it has been poured. Before you apply a stain, it is important that your patio slab is free from dirt and debris and any stains are washed away. The stain can then be added to the surface and even layered to create an interesting color scheme that is perfectly unique to your style and patio.
